1. Process Engineering

The first step to a successful custom solution is a comprehensive interview process where we learn your business and what you want to accomplish with your custom solution.  We listen to what you have in mind and make suggestions and provide alternatives based on what's possible and cost.

At this stage, we try to learn about the workflow of your business.  If appropriate, we'll make suggestions as to how those processes might be improved, using automation and new technology.

Sometimes, minor changes in process can result in tremendous benefits, such as fewer errors in shipments, significantly decreased costs, or new sales opportunities.

At this point, we'll be able to provide you with a pretty good idea of the types of costs and timeline involved with your project.  We are very good at providing accurate quotes: as long as the project doesn't expand beyond it's initial scope, we almost always complete ahead of schedule, and we guarantee that we will not exceed the quoted prices.


2. Prototyping

Once we know what you want to accomplish, we'll put together a series of mock-ups and prototypes that will give you a sense of how the finished project will look and feel like.  At this stage, it's easy to make changes.

This is the most important stage of the development cycle.

Correctly prototyping a solution accomplishes two important things:  it keeps your project under budget, and it ensures that the finished product looks, works and feels the way you expect.


3. Development, Testing, and Deployment

Based on everything gathered during planning and prototyping, Quantum will build your solution.  There may be some interaction and minor adjustments as we demonstrate how your system will work with live data.

Once finalized, our projects are tested, both for proper oepration and for compatibility with various browsers - depending on your needs, we can support Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera.  We can develop for and optimize versions for mobile devices, such as Blackberry, iPhone, and Windows Mobile.

With complex projects we may sometimes suggest staged deployment, where certain areas of functionality are released first.  This maximizes usage benefits where there a time constraint exists.

 
4. Project Launch

Once you're satisfied with the test platform, we'll work with you to launch the product.  This might include bulk email to your users, online marketing, and close monitoring of certain aspects.

As we "go live", your project manager will ensure that resources are available to immediately correct any problems or unforeseen needs that may arise during the launch period.


5.  Growth and Expansion

All of Quantum's solutions are highly scalable, meaning that both the platform and the custom software are designed to work equally well whether there are small number of users, or if there are thousands of concurrent users.
